Verification takes place before a focused introduction. It is project-specific and does not replace the project team’s own due diligence, final selection, contracting, or project oversight.

Verification Means Project Alignment, Not a Generic Badge
A contractor may be properly licensed and insured yet still be unsuitable for a particular project because of its scope, location, workforce requirements, equipment needs, schedule, service area, or operating conditions.
Build Network evaluates contractors in relation to the documented requirements of the individual opportunity. The objective is to determine whether the company appears qualified, capable, available, and interested before introducing it to the project team.
Our verification process is not a permanent certification, public rating, endorsement, or guarantee of future performance. It is a focused review based on the project requirements and the information available during the evaluation.
A company can be qualified generally without being aligned with every construction project.
What Build Network Reviews
The exact review depends on the project, trade, jurisdiction, and requirements established by the project team.
Relevant Project Experience
We review whether the contractor reports experience with scopes, project types, or operating conditions reasonably related to the work being considered.
Applicable Licensing
When licensing is required, we review the contractor’s license information and whether the reported status and classification appear applicable to the trade, jurisdiction, and project.
Insurance Status
We review available insurance information in relation to the general liability, workers’ compensation, and other requirements communicated by the project team.
Workforce Capacity
We consider available personnel, crew structure, labor capacity, supervision, and the contractor’s ability to evaluate the expected scope and production requirements.
Equipment and Capabilities
We review the tools, machinery, vehicles, specialty equipment, technical capabilities, and operational resources identified as necessary for the work.
Service Area and Travel
We confirm the contractor’s normal geographic coverage and willingness to mobilize or travel when the project requires work outside that area.
Availability and Production Alignment
We review general availability and whether the contractor can evaluate the schedule, production expectations, sequencing, or capacity requirements communicated by the project team.
Interest and Project Conditions
Before an introduction, the contractor must review the available project information and confirm an interest in evaluating the opportunity under the stated conditions.
The scope of verification is determined by the information provided by the parties and the requirements of the individual project.
How the Verification Process Works
01 — Define the Requirements
Build Network reviews the project location, scope, trade, schedule considerations, workforce needs, equipment, licensing, insurance, service coverage, production expectations, and other selection conditions provided by the project team.
02 — Collect Relevant Contractor Information
Selected contractor candidates provide or confirm information about their company, experience, credentials, workforce, capabilities, equipment, geographic coverage, availability, and interest in the opportunity.
03 — Review Alignment and Identify Gaps
Build Network compares the available contractor information with the documented project requirements. Missing, unclear, expired, or conflicting information may require clarification before the contractor can proceed.
04 — Confirm Interest and Organize the Introduction
When the available information supports project alignment and the contractor confirms its interest, Build Network coordinates a focused introduction with the project team.
If a contractor does not satisfy a required condition or decides not to proceed, Build Network can continue evaluating other contractor candidates.

The public Contractor Network form collects only the initial company information needed to begin the relationship. Build Network may request additional information privately when a contractor is being evaluated for a specific opportunity.

The information requested can vary. A document or qualification that is unnecessary for one project may be essential for another.
Contractor Requirements Can Vary by Project
Licensing, insurance limits, equipment, crew size, production expectations, travel, site access, scheduling, and documentation requirements can differ by jurisdiction, project type, trade, owner, general contractor, and operating environment.
For that reason, Build Network does not treat verification as a universal checklist completed once and applied permanently to every opportunity. Relevant information may need to be reviewed or reconfirmed for each project.

Every Scope Requires Its Own Evaluation
A multi-trade project may require several different contractor searches. A company aligned with one scope should not automatically be assumed to satisfy the requirements of another.
Build Network can evaluate separate contractor candidates for site work, excavation, utilities, concrete, roofing, electrical, mechanical, flooring, painting, specialty trades, and other construction scopes based on the requirements assigned to each portion of the project.

What does “verified” mean at Build Network?
Verified means Build Network has reviewed available contractor information in relation to the documented requirements of a particular project. It does not mean the contractor holds a permanent certification or is guaranteed to perform successfully.
Does verification guarantee contractor performance?
No. Verification and qualification reduce uncertainty by organizing relevant information, but they cannot guarantee future performance, project results, regulatory compliance, or contractual obligations.
Are contractor licenses required for every project?
No. Licensing requirements depend on the trade, scope, jurisdiction, and project. When a license is required, Build Network reviews the available license information as part of the project-specific evaluation.
Does Build Network review contractor insurance?
Build Network reviews available insurance information in relation to requirements communicated by the project team. The project company should independently confirm coverage, limits, endorsements, expiration dates, and acceptability before contracting.
Do you verify workforce and equipment?
When workforce, production capacity, tools, vehicles, machinery, or specialty equipment are relevant to the project, Build Network reviews the information provided by the contractor against those requirements.
Is every contractor evaluated the same way?
No. The review depends on the project location, scope, trade, licensing, insurance, workforce, equipment, schedule, travel, production, and other conditions established by the project team.
Can a project team require additional qualifications?
Yes. Project teams can identify additional mandatory conditions, documentation, certifications, references, onboarding requirements, or other standards relevant to contractor selection.
What happens if a contractor does not meet a requirement?
Build Network may request clarification or additional information. If a mandatory requirement remains unsatisfied, the contractor will not be presented as aligned with that condition, and the search can continue.
Does Build Network select the contractor?
No. Build Network organizes the sourcing, verification, and introduction process. The project owner, general contractor, prime contractor, or other responsible project company evaluates, selects, and contracts with the contractor.
